Voice of Diversity Community Cookouts began in 2017. This is a major part of the organization’s goal of bringing NWA together as one. Each year more people were served as a result of support from volunteers, local and corporate businesses, donors, and the city of Fayetteville.
The community cookouts are family-friendly, free, and open to the public. There is food, drinks, games for kids, and a DJ in attendance to create a lively atmosphere. VOD also partners with local organizations (food pantries, schools, etc.) to raise donations for other community outreach efforts.
