One Voice
The Goal
Our goal is to bring positive information, conversation, and change to the community/world. The Voice of Diversity is inclusive of all cultures while speaking from the views of Black, Indigenous, (and) People of Color (BIPOC) locally as well as globally.
Voice of Diversity (VOD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded around the principles of education. The mission of the organization is to be a “voice” for citizens in the Northwest Arkansas Community.
The Mission
The mission is to be a “voice” in the community for minorities that reside in Northwest Arkansas. We strive to educate, entertain, and provide our audience with a diverse reflection of music and issues that have been under-represented by other media. VOD is committed to enriching the lives of its listeners by presenting material that will encourage new insights and expand awareness.
The Approach
Purpose
Our goal is to both educate and resolve challenges that minorities face through the use of media resources and community engagement.
We will provide valuable information about education, finances, health, and other issues applicable to the members of the community.
Objectives
Objectives we are focused on to achieve the mission.
- Communicating local/world news to the Northwest Arkansas community we serve.
- Improving the understanding of important issues affecting the minority community.
- Providing minorities in the Fayetteville, Arkansas region with an avenue for networking and exchanging information within the community.
- Serving as an educational source that provides programming geared towards the improvement of the lives of minorities in the community.
- Promoting growth and development through the sharing of information related to local opportunities for citizens not currently being served by local radio
Success
Achievements that positively impact the community.
- Obtaining and managing the financial resources needed to keep community programming on the air.
- Ability to deliver a high-quality product that builds momentum to engage different cultural groups
- Develop a brand that is exciting and energizing but synonymous with class, style, trust, and diversity.
- Increase the number of formal partnerships with the area corporate community and academic institutions
- Engage and educate the youth through media and broadcasting.
We Educate
Creating initiatives and programs that provide educational resources for the community.
Broadcasting national shows hosted by experts in health and wellness, finances, and history.
We Give A Voice
Through local podcasts and programs, we give individuals in the community an outlet to express the views they have based on experience and knowledge.
We give organizations a platform to expand their voice and information that helps stimulate community awareness.
